Review: Clairol Perfect 10 by Nice 'n Easy

October 31st this year was more than just Halloween... no, this year it was the day that I discovered my first gray hair! I have to admit, it was a little traumatic for me. I usually don't have a big issue with my age, I am 36 years old. I really believe that it is supposed to be how you feel, however, I don't want to look my age! Especially my hair.

So it was really fortunate for me to receive some haircolor to test out on myself and some of my co-workers... We were going to try and have a "haircoloring party", but getting our schedules to match was pretty difficult. Eventually, I gave them their product to test and report back to me and took some pictures.

What Clairol says:

Perfect 10's luxurious color creme is an easy to spread, no drip consistency with a quicker development time. While conventional permanent home colorants take anywhere from 20-30 minutes, Perfect 10 delivers natural looking color in just ten minutes!

Quite honestly, I was really impressed with this product. My go to home hair color in the past has been Loreal...but I hate keeping the product in my hair for 25 minutes! Plus, since I have long hair, control of the application is sometimes less than perfect. I have been guilty of getting the product in strange areas of my bathroom! The creme is nice and thick, reducing any drips or running down your neck!

Perfect 10 has a patented PerfectColor Comb which allows you to envelop each strand in rich color creme from root to tip! The comb has 14 openings to provide maximum color distribution allowing even coverage regardless of the length or thickness of your hair. Trust me, this comb is great!!! I have long thick hair and have been known to miss areas of my hair with traditional coloring bottle tips.

J. chose a Medium blonde. She chose not to use the comb applicator, instead opting for the traditional tip that also comes with the kit. She says that she loves the gray coverage and really liked the generous amount of after color conditioner that came with the kit. She said that it was very easy to use, and will definately purchase to use again!

K. chose Light Auburn. She said that she was amazed she could get such great gray coverage in only 10 minutes! She also says that the comb applicator was super easy to use and loved that the formula was thick and did not drip at all. She says that she loves how soft and full her hair felt afterwards and cannot believe the shine!

I chose the Black color. As I said previously, I LOVED the comb applicator! My hair is super shiny and soft. Plus, the fact it only took 10 minutes was a total bonus!

All in all, three very happy ladies! We would all buy and use this product again. Plus the fact that it is available in every major grocery, mass merchant and drugstores makes it even better. The retail price is $13.99. Considering the last time I got my hair colored at a salon it cost me $80 (not including tip!) makes this a terrific value. I highly recommend this product and label it a Must Buy!
